This is "The Invincible Cockroach," my first car. A 1960 Saab 93, it had a 3-cylinder, 2-stroke, 750cc engine. It lasted about six weeks before the engine blew, and turned out to cost me almost exactly $1/mile. That's in 1969 dollars, which would be about $5.70/mile today!

Also worth noting that the car in the right side of the background of the first photo, with the door open, belonged to my friend Pete.
