The Comet was a 1939 Yellow Coach bus, which we acquired in 1960 to use as a camper. It had belonged to Bill Haley and the Comets; it was their tour bus.

The bus was a model 743, the first over-the-road bus with a rear engine. Originally, it had a gasoline engine; this one had a Detroit Diesel 7-61.
